The Start

As Greg Abbott was about to sign into law SB8, one of the most extreme anti-abortion laws in the nation, I joined Texas reproductive health and rights organizations and other angry Texans to protest the bill outside Abbott’s mansion.

Similar to other protests, at that moment I felt so empowered and like I was actually changing Abbott’s mind. It was only till after the fact that I felt like I didn’t make a difference; despite our loud chants Abbott still happily signed his so-called pro-life bill.

I needed to continue the lucha for reproductive justice and do something to help abortion seekers in Texas.

I created infographics to spread the word about the unfortunate reality of SB8 coming September 1st and informing people on how they can make a difference.

The main way people can make a difference is by donating to abortion funds. But, donating money can sometimes sound and feel daunting. To make this concept feel feasible(and just because I had been wanting to design my own stickers haha) I decided to sell stickers and donate 50% of those proceeds to the Buckle Bunnies, a dope abortion fund. And thus, the Abort Greg Abbott stickers were born.
